    • With dental prostheses it is possible to give the individual a good quality of life. With dental prostheses the aesthetics and good functioning of the dental structure is recovered and the problems caused by missing teeth are avoided. A removable prosthesis is a dental prosthesis which can be removed and repositioned for cleaning, and which rests on the mucous membranes and gums. As already mentioned, this type of denture is increasingly out of use. Since they rest on the mucous membrane and the underlying bone, and in some cases are supported by some teeth, part of the chewing forces provoked are cushioned by these tissues, leading to a gradual aggression of the bone tissue and its resorption over time, as well as an overload of the teeth which hold it in place. In addition, the discomfort felt and the movements while speaking or eating make many of the users of these prostheses opt for treatment with implants, where the prosthesis is fixed. Over time, removable prostheses suffer a maladjustment, so that constant visits to the professional specialist are almost mandatory when some time has passed since they were placed. Many of these people resort to fixing prosthesis, with the discomfort that this entails, whenever these glues stop working. Removable prosthesis, although they improve chewing function, they do so to a lesser extent than the fixed ones. Durability and comfort are also two factors that tip the balance in favour of fixed prosthesis. Dental implants can change your life, both aesthetically and chewing, when they replace removable dentures. However, if your dental conditions do not allow for dental implants and/or fixed dentures, removable dentures can be a good solution.

What is CAD/CAM technology used for?
CAD/CAM technology has transformed the practice of dentistry, ushering in the era of digital dentistry. From CAD/CAM dental crowns to digitally guided implant placement and custom orthodontic appliances, this technology has revolutionized the way dental professionals diagnose, plan, and execute treatments. Karen Dental Laboratory stands at the forefront of this technological revolution, offering hospitals the best CAD/CAM services backed by state-of-the-art systems and a commitment to excellence.
CAD/CAM dentistry is shaking up the industry. By adopting this technology, a dental practice can completely modernize its traditional dental laboratory process and relationship.
Digital dental restoration is another new benefit of CAD/CAM technology. Basically, the days of handmade prosthetics, with all the instances and opportunities for human (and crafting) error have been improved upon. Computer-aided manufacturing is the process by which lab technicians actually design objects in the digital 3D space of a program.
Improved patient experience - Patients receive their orders in a fraction of the time. The dental products they receive are more accurate, longer lasting, and look better. They spend less time in the chair, and even when they’re in the chair, they don’t have to suffer unpleasant processes like taking traditional impression molds.
Less chair time - When it comes to how to grow your orthodontic practice, fewer and quicker appointments mean that dentists can take on more clients and devote more of their time toward procedures that actually require their expertise. Both benefits can bolster your bottom line.
Fewer remakes - The increased accuracy in scans and the reduced lab back and forth results in fewer errors and better end products. As a result, there’s a smaller likelihood that the dental product will need to be remade.
Reduced overhead costs - A practice using this new dental technology may spend less money on materials and outsourcing costs.

    SLM technology
SLM TECHNOLOGY • CRAFTSMANSHIP MEETS TECHNOLOGY Selective Laser Melting (SLM) is an additive manufacturing technology capable of creating permanent dentures with high geometric complexity and excellent mechanical properties. Starting from metal powders and using a laser that operates following a three-dimensional design, it is possible to make objects with shapes that are difficult to achieve with other manufacturing systems.
    Removable Denture
Removable denture is intended for restoration of chewing function in case of partial or full loss of teeth. Removable denture is an alternative for non-removable ones in case if the patient has all or majority teeth missing, or has contraindications to install implants and fixed constructions.
The method of making removable denture:
Modern removable dentures are made of dental acrylic plastic with a method of injection molding as well as by hot and cold compression polymerization. The use of such kinds of plastic allows denture to keep its features for a very long time: shape, color, density and durability. Teeth that are applied in manufacture of that particular kind of denture, are released in the form of ready sets differ in color shades, shapes and sizes. This allows to choose the set that patient wishes.
    The types of removable denture:
    Overdenture
Overdenture is often the only alternative of prosthetics in the case of complete absence of teeth on both or on one of the jaws. They lean only on alveolar shoots of jaw (roughly speaking a gum) on the top jaw and palate.
    Partial removable denture
Partial removable dentures are used when one or more teeth are lost. This type of removable dentures often prescribed in case of:
    • The loss of the main chewing teeth
    • In case of the presence of defects of the dentition end when there is no possibility to use as a support bridge adjacent teeth due to their absence or loosening in the jaw bone
    • Defect of tooth alignments of big extent
    • As a temporary prosthesis
The partial removable denture leans, as a rule, not only on a game, but also remained on the teeth. It is secured with clasps made of stiff wire or nylon, which go from the plastic base of the denture and cover denture abutments.
